ABOUT IDIS

What is PSI?

Private Social Investment (PSI) is the strategic allocation of resources such as money, time, knowledge, among other things, for public benefit. To have an impact and promote social transformation, PSI should rely on focused research, creative planning, predefined strategies, careful execution, and the monitoring of results. This is IDIS's proposal.

IDIS has two major working fronts: proactive development of own initiatives and offering of technical support to companies, foundations, families, and individuals. Alliances based on co-learning, transparency, and co-responsibility are often done in order to achieve greater results..

IDIS's commitment to social development is expressed through the increased impact of Private Social Investment. Based in São Paulo, IDIS has a qualified and experienced team.

MISSION, VISION AND VALUES

IDIS

Established in 1999, the Institute for the Development of Social Investment (IDIS, in Portuguese) is a public interest non-governmental organization that was a pioneer in providing technical support and consultancy for social investors in Brazil and Latin America. IDIS facilitates the participation of individuals, families, companies and communities in strategic social actions that bring social change and help reduce social inequalities in the country. Committed to promote and structure private social investment as a tool for the development of a more equitable and sustainable society, IDIS acts in two ways: by developing proactive initiatives and by meeting the demand for technical support of companies, foundations, institutes, families and individuals.
